Der Verlag Reprodukt wurde 1991 gegründet, und veröffentlicht als konzernunabhängiger Verlag Comics aus dem gesamten Spektrum des Mediums. Bei einem Großteil der Veröffentlichungen stehen Person und Erfahungen des Autors im Blickpunkt. Auch wo Fiktion entsteht, werden autobiografische Bezüge erkennbar, bleibt die eigene Perspektive der wichtigste Ausgangspunkt. Auf sorgfältige Übersetzung und gute Ausstattung wird großen Wert gelegt. Reprodukt veröffentlicht etwa 40 Titel im Jahr, davon ungefähr ein Drittel Comics für Kinder.

Zu den bekanntesten deutschsprachigen Autor:innen gehören Arne Bellstorf, Anke Feuchtenbeger, Aisha Franz, Anna Haifisch, Sascha Hommer, Mawil, Nicolas Mahler und Barbara Yelin.

Reprodukt was founded in Berlin in 1991, and specializes in the publication of alternative and independent comics. A publisher that places great emphasis on the role and experience of the author, Reprodukt offers a catalog that comes from German creators as well as authors around the globe, from France to North America to Japan. Reprodukt publishes more than 40 titles per year, including its own creations, and licensed and translated works.

Among the best known German language artists are Arne Bellstorf, Anke Feuchtenberger, Aisha Franz, Anna Haifisch, Sascha Hommer, Mawil, Nicolas Mahler, Barbara Yelin and many more.
